Welcome to the IBM App Connect Enterprise Agent Preview!

The AI Agent public preview is specifically targeted at existing ACE users, but we'd love to introduce you to our technology regardless of your current entitlement position. To best serve you depending on your circumstances:

  • I have current entitlement to ACE and I've heard about your new AI Agents and would like to learn more.

You've come to the right place, scroll on down the page to find out more!

  • I don't have any current paid entitlement but I would like to try out the ACE product free of charge.

Head over to the ACE Evaluation Edition website where you can download free of charge an Evaluation Edition of the product installation for Windows, Linux or MacOS.  IBM App Connect Enterprise Evaluation Edition is a full-function version of IBM App Connect Enterprise that you can use to evaluate the software, for an unlimited time, within the terms of the license. All features are enabled, but processing is limited to one message (transaction) per second.

  • I don't have any current paid entitlement to ACE and would like to learn more about ACE's AI Agent capability in particular.

Feel free to scroll on down the page to start learning about what ACE's AI Agents are capable of, however if you'd like to get hold of an installation of our code to actually try out the technology you won't be able to do so in a self-service manner in the same way as those who already have ACE entitlements. Alternatively, we'd be happy to organize a demonstration for you, or discuss your needs further. To take things further please email us on eXp.App.Connect@uk.ibm.com

How can the ACE AI Agents help?

  • Cut operational overhead with intelligent recommendations and automations
  • Accelerate change with Agent-assisted deployment and flow management
  • Optimize resource usage and licensing with real-time topology insights
  • Improve governance with visibility into runtime behavior
  • Enable confident change management by surfacing dependencies and deprecated components

What components does the ACE AI Agent offering provide?

  • A web-browser based user experience including an AI Agentic Assistant where you can use natural language interactions to get answers to questions about your ACE container deployments
  • An AI Agent container running agent code to support the Assistant. The AI agents orchestrate queries to an LLM. The LLM itself runs in a tenant-specific instance of IBM watsonx.ai running on IBM's public cloud.  Entitlement to IBM watsonx.ai is separate to your ACE entitlement, but by joining the ACE AI Agent Public Preview Feedback Program we can provide this to you free of charge.
  • An ACE MCP Server container which retrieves information about your ACE containers, the Kubernetes environment in which they are running, and what has been deployed inside ACE.

What kind of AI Agents does ACE have?

  • Supervisor Agent: A unified entry point for all current and future agent tasks
  • Topology Analyzer Agent: Real-time visibility into ACE runtimes, licensing and usage
  • Flow Inspection Agent: Inspect deployed flows for specific transport node usage, surface dependencies and deprecated components
  • Resource Manager Agent: Optimize resource usage by helping create topologies that avoid starting unused resource managers
  • Deployment Agent: Provide instructions to deploy changes across ACE runtimes, resources, flows, credentials and policies
  • Knowledge Agent: Easy way of querying pre-trained versions of IBM's knowledge-base including documentation and support cases
